Town Planner

A well-regarded planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join its Brisbane team.
This is an opportunity to join an established consultancy working across a broad range of development projects throughout Queensland. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering considered planning advice and maintaining excellent long-term client relationships.
They are seeking someone who can step in and contribute across the full planning process while managing projects with a reasonable level of autonomy.
The Role
Working closely with senior planning professionals, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing development applications
- Undertaking planning assessments and site investigations
- Providing planning advice to clients throughout project lifecycles
- Liaising with councils and relevant authorities
- Coordinating input from external consultants
- Managing project timelines and deliverables
- Preparing reports, submissions and supporting documentation
About You
To be considered, you will bring:
- Prior town planning experience within a consultancy environment
- Experience preparing development applications
- Understanding of Queensland planning frameworks and approval pathways
- Strong written communication and report writing skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Confidence dealing with clients, consultants and authorities
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or similar
- Australian working rights and driver’s licence
