Senior/Associate Urban Designer

A highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior to Associate Urban Designer to join its Queensland team in a key leadership capacity.

This is a role for someone who enjoys leading projects, mentoring others, and working closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality urban outcomes.

You will take the lead across major commissions, manage client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams through the delivery of complex and rewarding projects.

The Opportunity

You will work across a diverse range of urban strategy, master planning and public realm projects, taking ownership of delivery from concept through to completion.

Alongside project leadership, you will support team development and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

What You Will Be Doing

• Leading urban design across strategic and place-based projects
• Managing projects end-to-end including budgets, resourcing and delivery
• Acting as a key contact for clients and stakeholders
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and consultants
• Mentoring urban designers and graduates
• Facilitating workshops, engagement sessions and design charrettes
• Supporting tenders, proposals and business development
• Working closely with senior leadership across project delivery

About You

• Degree qualified in Urban Design, Architecture or Landscape Architecture
• Significant experience delivering and leading urban design projects
• Strong technical capability across AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp and similar
• Experienced managing consultants and multidisciplinary teams
• Commercially aware with strong stakeholder management skills
• Passionate about delivering meaningful urban outcomes
